Better late than never I’m finally writing up this event a few months late! Last October I was invited to speak to readers at Stoneleigh Community Library in Surrey. As a frequent library user since childhood, it’s always an honour to visit any library and Stoneleigh was especially welcoming. The library runs as a collaboration between Surrey County Council and the Friends of Stoneleigh Library, a charitable association formed to ensure the presence of a library in Stoneleigh.
With a good turnout, it was an enjoyable evening. Library volunteer Wendy was a brilliant interviewer and the audience asked great questions. Library chair, Diana Kay, was kind enough to present me with a special Stoneleigh Community Library tea towel as a gift (which is so lovely that I can’t bring myself to use it!).
