An Evening with Louise Hare and Harriet Tyce
May 4, 2022 @ 6:00 pm
Join us for an evening of stylish thrills and literary chills as we welcome authors Louise Hare and Harriet Tyce to discuss their electrifying new crime novels, Miss Aldridge Regrets and It Ends at Midnight.
Louise Hare is the author of the remarkable debut novel This Lovely City, and in Miss Aldridge Regrets she follows it up with a searching examination of race, class and gender in interwar Europe, cunningly enfolded into a brilliantly compulsive whodunit set aboard the RMS Queen Mary.
Harriet Tyce returns to Kings Road having previously visited us to discuss her deviously original take on the legal thriller, Blood Orange. Now she turns her talents to murder mystery in It Ends at Midnight, an explosive tour-de-force set against the tick, tick, tick of the countdown to midnight at a lavish Edinburgh New Year’s Eve party.
The evening’s discussion will be hosted by pre-eminent crime fiction critic and former Vice Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association, Barry Forshaw.
Both a book-and-ticket deal and general admission tickets will be available, and books will also be available to purchase on the night.
